This is our new method of shaking hands called "GRASPING ELBOWS." It allows one to greet another without having to spread or receive germs. You simply grasp the elbow or forearm area instead of shaking hands. It is a great way to introduce, greet or offer someone "peace". Can be used in church, on the street, at a restaurant, at the workplace and everywhere else you have to greet someone. The benefits of this new approach are staggering in terms of money saved from preventing illness. Do you have any idea where the other person's hand has been anyway? Yikes. Do you have any idea where the other person's elbow has been? Nowhere! The old approach of shaking hands is passé. Isn't "Grasping Elbows" a sensible alternative? Also, does it make sense to wash our hands multiple times a day and then soon thereafter, touch a dirty doorknob, or door handle? And shouldn't all doors in a hospital be automatic?
