Free Sensible Weight Loss Program

Free 5 step program designed for you to lose weight.  No fees, No catch whatsoever. Are you ready?  Then lets begin!

Step 1

In order for anybody to change or reverse a habit, there must be an advantage for them in doing so. Whether it be over-eating, alcohol or drug addiction or any other self-defeating behavior, the benefits of changing must out weigh the benefits of not.

You will need a notebook and pen. You are going to do a cost-benefit analysis.  Draw a line down the middle of a page. At the top of the left side of the page you write disadvantages of being overweight and on the top right side of the page, you will write advantages of losing weight. It is very important that you write it out on paper.

Under the disadvantages of being over weight, you are to list the specific disadvantages or costs of being overweight. This may be hard for you so I will give you some examples to start: being overweight makes me feel guilty,  food is expensive to buy, I don't feel good about myself being overweight, it's hard for me to get around, sometimes people make fun of me, I want to be more attractive to my spouse (or if your single) I want to attract a mate,  I want to have more energy......

Under the advantages of losing weight, list all the benefits that you would derive from losing a little or a lot of weight. They could be: Greater mobility, sense of freedom from food addiction, more energy, feel more attractive, able to wear clothes I like, feel better and so on.

After you make both lists.  Scan the advantages list and pick out one advantage that really relates to why you want to lose weight and write it down. This is going to be the motivational factor for you to lose weight.

The reason could be:  I'm tired of being alone. Another one could be: My knees are starting to hurt from dragging around all this weight and if I lose some weight I could save my knees, or I want to attract my future wife/husband! Whatever it is, when you find it, you will be ready for step 2.
